20" Zero Clearance Firebox

 

This firebox is available for new construction with our Evans unit. The framing dimensions are: 23" wide, 30" high, and 13.5" deep.  The opening dimensions are:20" wide and 17" high before arching up and over to 21" at the highest point. The flue requirement is  a 6" double wall "B" vent.

30" Zero Clearance Firebox

This firebox is large enough to use with any of our baskets.  The framing dimensions are: 34.5" wide, 45.125" high and 20" deep.  The opening dimensions are: 31" wide, 30" high and 16" deep.  The flue requirement on this firebox is a 10" vent.

The 20" Ventfree  Zero Clearance Fireboxes

This firebox is a mirror image of the vented firebox with the exception of the top portion.  In order to keep the temperature in the firebox to a safe level, there must be a way to release the heat from the top of the box.  We have two options available.  The front vent has an arched hood (unseen behind the wall) that comes out above the surround and is covered by a grill that is provided with the kit.  The two hole vent consists of a top with two holes (unseen behind the wall) that standard dryer hose can be attached to and can be vented anywhere above the opening of the firebox, but below ceiling level using regular heat register covers (not provided with the box).  The vents must be in the same room as the appliance in order for the safety devises on the units to work correctly.

 These decorative, solid cast iron surrounds are ideal for use with either our Vented or Ventfree firebox or around the opening of your existing fireplace.

ARCHED SUMMER COVER

This summer cover is made to fit the arched surround (shown) and was created with antique summer cover design in mind.  Made of solid cast iron, this is an exclusive product designed and manufactured for Grate Fires.

SKY1001 Remote System

This remote system is a non-electric, battery operated system consisting of 2 parts.  There is a wall switch that can be used either in the wall, or mounted under the grate and a hand held unit that controls the on/off.
